Our Story
Our story is anything but ordinary but it goes something like this…
A Brit (Rebecca) goes off on an adventure to work on private yachts and travel the world. An American (Patrick) charms her with his worldly wisdom and ability to drive a big boat. After years of sailing the seas and looking after the whims of the rich and famous, they decide to settle in Denver and swap the sea for skiing.
Their inspiration for Under the Sky Event Rental?
It all started with a wedding. An epic party in the Highlands of Scotland attended by friends and family from around the world. The coming together of our nearest and dearest to celebrate the beginning of the rest of our lives.
Our party piece? Giant Scandinavian tents set up with a backdrop of forests and rolling hills and eventually, abundant sunshine (it was Scotland after all).
As guests arrived up the driveway they were in awe of the incredible tents taking center stage in the garden. Once inside, they were greeted by twinkling lights and a table full of champagne glasses, ready to get the celebrations started.
As the night went on to sounds of laughter, music and a crackling log fire, it was hard not to notice how the tents had brought everyone together and added to the excitement and magic of the day. People danced the night away to a live band at one end, roasted ‘smores in the middle and chatted in the chill out area at the other end. As the last few revelers stayed up into the wee small hours gathered around the fire (including the bride and groom), we couldn’t help but attribute a large part of our wedding’s success to the tents and the enchanting and otherworldly space they create.
With the popularity of the tents in the UK, Patrick and Rebecca Anderson didn’t feel it was fair that the British had all the fun. That is why they are so excited to introduce the tents to the USA. Now it’s our turn to have the fun!
